Massachusetts Eye and Ear Weymouth (MEE-W) was born originally from South Suburban Ear Nose and Throat Associates (SSENT), a private practice, single specialty group made up of board cerified Otolaryngologists/Head and Neck Surgeons. Founded and established by Dr. John O'Brien and Dr. David Rudolph, we have been providing for the patients of the South Shore area since the 1970's and are proud to continue to give the highest quality care into the 21st century, together with the support of the great Massachusetts Eye and Ear organization. We have a long-standing affiliation with South Shore Hospital, which will continue.
South Shore Hospital, in South Weymouth, MA, is the largest independently operated hospital in Eastern Massachusetts, with the second busiest emergency center, over 300 beds and over 800 active medical staff members. All the physicians of MEE-W operate on patients in the South Shore Hospital's state-of-the-art operating suite, see patients in the world class Emergency department, and care for inpatients on all floors, from the pediatric wing to the intensive care units. We are also pleased to be in affiliation with the Dana Farber Cancer Center's South Shore location, next to South Shore Hospital, where we can service our Head and Neck Cancer patients. Our physicians also see and operate on patients at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of Boston, whose reputation is world renowned for its singular care of all head and neck diseases. We also see patients at Quincy Medical Center, Milton Hospital and Carney Hospital, upon request.
MEE-W's main office, located in South Weymouth, is staffed 5 days a week by scheduling, reception, nursing, and management personnel. We are open Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, with one or two physicians seeing patients all days. Please call our main office for all appointment scheduling, billing questions and nursing questions. MEE-W's satellite office, located in Duxbury, is staffed 4 days a week by a medical/administrative assistant and a physician, on Monday from 9 am to 4 pm, Tuesday from 9 am to 2 pm, and Wednesday and Thursday from 9 am to 12 pm. We are proud to offer Allergy services with Dr. Monica Lee on Tuesdays at in Duxbury office. Please see the Allergy page for more information. Since only patient care staff is available in Duxbury, please call the main Weymouth office for all appointment and nursing questions, including directions.
